AVE (AI Video Editor) is a local-first, native Mac video editor that pairs a real non-linear timeline with an AI editing agent. Work with familiar tools like trim, split, ripple, retime, transitions, and captions, then use Ask and Plan modes to have the AI analyze your footage, propose a reviewable edit plan, and assemble rough cuts before you approve them. Search across transcripts and visuals, generate captions, and deliver in multiple aspect ratios for YouTube, TikTok, Shorts, and Reels. Project files, media, and exports stay on your Mac by default, with optional bring-your-own AI provider integration.
